If you missed out on MMMF this March, you definitely missed a good show! This festival, or as the promoters have appropriately dubbed it “a party with purpose” is an urban camper in the surprisingly cultured downtown Phoenix area. You are guaranteed high-70 to mid-80 degree-days and 60’s on average at night.
There is just one main stage and an auxiliary ‘local band’ stage, so fans will not have to make compromises amongst the featured acts. The sightlines are always as clear as the desert skies, no matter what your vertical limitations are.
Most of the festival proceeds went to three local charities. One of the truly wonderful recipients for this year (in addition to the Phoenix Children’s Hospital) was the Ear Candy Charity, which helps to fund struggling music and arts programs for public school children in Arizona, the 49th out of 50 states in per person education funding. So, while you may have missed this year’s awesome lineup, plan a road trip next March and make sure you don’t miss this festival!
More upcoming festivals that you will not want to miss will be reviewed in our Summer 2013 Magazine which releases May 21st, 2013.
