San Diego based fashion and style blogger Vanessa Balli has only been blogging for about a year – but her blog showcasing her outfits of the day has already created quite a following! In her blog, Vanessa not only posts her OOTDs (Outfit of the Day), but she also provides her readers with useful styling tips as well – and this is just the start of it all! She has big long term goals that involve video tutorials (let’s hope she does one on how to get your hair as beautiful as hers!) and a boutique based off of her personal style. Vanessa dropped by Graffiti Beach and we got to see how she styles herself, firsthand. We can’t wait to see what else this gorgeous up-and-comer has in store for the local fashion scene and beyond!
Graffiti Beach: How would you describe your blog? How would you describe your personal style?
Vanessa Balli: My intention is for people to enjoy reading my blog and get ideas and inspiration to recreate a look or incorporate a piece they like from me and try it out for themselves! I enjoy putting outfits together and if I can help someone who doesn’t like the process it’s less work for them and fun for me! My personal style ranges from boho to casual chic to ultra glam, it all depends on the day and my mood!
Skull Tee $36 :: Mermaid Skirt $42 – available in-store :: Drum Cymbal Necklace $48 – available in-store :: Double Finger Ring $28 :: For in-store items we are located at Graffiti Beach 2220 Fern St., San Diego, Ca
GB: You moved around a lot throughout your childhood. When did your spark for fashion come up? Does your personal style change depending on the city?
VB: I was born in California and moved to a few different states when I was younger due to my dad being in the military – it was a fun experience, especially living in Hawaii for 4 years! I dabbled in a few things here and there before fashion became a bigger part of my life. You just never know where your life will take you, and when you find what you love, you have to go for it! I’d say my personal style changes all the time, especially when traveling. Fashion is different everywhere and I’d love to see what other trends are out there!
